Thank you for your application to the 2026 Study Abroad Program. The outline below describes the financial requirement of being a part of Study Abroad.
Cost of Study Abroad Program: $4,794.00; Cost after Scholarship: $3,794.00
This cost covers airfare, transportation while abroad, most meals, lodging and program related entrance & activity fees. It can also include other costs as described by program faculty.
Payment Schedule: To make the cost of the program more affordable, an incremental payment option is available for those that want to make payments as outlined below. The total amount paid is the cost of the program. Payments can be made throughout the year, or in total up front, or using our payment plan.
Deposit (non-refundable unless the Program is canceled) $500
1st Payment November 15 - $900
2nd Payment December 15 - $900
3rd Payment January 15 - $900
4th Payment February 15 - $900
5th Payment March 15 (of after Spring Break) - $694

Additional Costs: The amounts below describe additional costs that are associated with Study Abroad. These costs are on top of the cost of the program and are not included in the amount above.
1) Tuition and Fees Visit LoneStar.edu/tuition to get an estimated cost of your classes. The Base price for In-District tuition is $448 for 6 credit hours. Tuition and fees are separate from the program fee below. Each cohort learning community is a total of 6 credit hours.
2) Books $0-$150 Cohort Courses Vary in terms of Required Textbooks. Costs are approximate. Many instructional materials will be included in the Program Fee. Students should consult with their cohort Professors for details.
3) Other Expenses costs may include $730 Approximate. Includes Passport, meals (dinners) not provided by program, and personal spending.
Refund Policy:
The dates below outline the refund deadlines. Please note the dates below so that you can get a full refund if you need to withdraw from the program. We are not able to refund any LSC Study Abroad scholarship funds. The first $500 of the deposit is non-refundable, unless the full program is canceled. Hence, the refund schedule below applies only to all monies paid after the initial deposit. The $500 is used to reserve air flight and lodging and cannot be refunded.
January 31, 2026 100% of payments will be refunded (minus non-refundable deposit of $500) Only refundable deposits have been purchased from our vendors overseas.
February 29, 2026 50% of payments will be refunded.
Airfare purchased with ticket assigned to student’s name and non-refundable hotel deposits
After March 1, 2026 0% of payments will be refunded unless the program is canceled. In addition to the above, transportation and some activities may have been purchased
